When Howard Petersen built his wife Donna her very own little white chapel branded the “Chapel in the Pines” nearly 17 years ago, the two could hardly fathom the future gravity of its existence. While the chapel remains the pinnacle of the seven-acre wedding site, the complementary white gazebo, private bridal cottage, and endless clusters of annuals, perennials, and prairie plants have come to sketch a gorgeous backdrop for any wedding any time of year. Enclosed by sweeping stretches of fields and long country roads, the natural beauty of the countryside illuminates the beauty of the chapel estate as a picturesque wedding site.

Between weddings, elopements, and wedding vow renewal ceremonies, the Chapel in the Pines wedding site caters to brides and grooms from all around the Midwest and the country as well as a few from across the world. We fasten each detail together to create a wedding ceremony that not only reflects you as a couple but further emphasizes your promise of love.

The chapel site also specializes in wedding receptions so that your wedding day blossoms with excitement and lasting memories. After recently erecting our banquet facility with a capacity of 150 guests, we would be thrilled to cap your wedding celebration with all your family and friends. In addition to wedding receptions, we host birthday parties, engagement parties, anniversary parties, and graduation parties among all others.
